Normality and Cohen–Macaulayness of parahoric local models

نویسندگان

چکیده

We study the singularities of integral models Shimura varieties and moduli stacks shtukas with parahoric level structure. More generally, our results apply to Pappas–Zhu Levin mixed characteristic local models, their equal analogues. For any such model we prove under minimal assumptions that entire is normal reduced special fiber and, if $p > 2$, it also Cohen–Macaulay. This proves a conjecture Pappas Zhu, shows constructed by Kisin are Cohen–Macaulay as well.

Local Asymptotic Normality of Ranks and Covariates in Transformation Models

In this paper we exhibit an important but rather complicated example to which the Le Cam-Yang methods may, after some work, be applied. Semiparametric transformation models arise quite naturally in survival analysis. Specifically, let (Z1, T1), (Z2, T2), . . . , (Zn, Tn) be independent and identically distributed with Z, a vector of covariates, having distribution H, and T real. We suppose ther...

On Parahoric Subgroups

We give the proofs of some simple facts on parahoric subgroups and on Iwahori Weyl groups used in [H], [PR] and in [R]. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 11E95, 20G25; Secondary 22E20. Let G be a connected reductive group over a strictly henselian discretely valued field L. Kottwitz defines in [Ko] a functorial surjective homomorphism (1) κG : G(L) −→ X (Ẑ(G)). Here I = Gal(L̄/L) ...

Inference in Hidden Markov Models I: Local Asymptotic Normality in the Stationary Case

Following up on Baum and Petrie (1966) we study likelihood based methods in hidden Markov models, where the hiding mechanism can lead to continuous observations and is itself governed by a parametric model. We show that procedures essentially equivalent to maximum likelihood estimates are asymptotically normal as expected and consistent estimates of their variance can be constructed, so that th...
